Dragons Blood, part 5 - Day Flight

Another midnight brings another lines of dragon lovestory. Enjoy and drop a nice comment, please.

Arlene studied dragon's face with interest. He had several scars; yet, his appearance was engaging and she had to watch him all night long. She was intrigued by his lips, which were slowly moving in his sleep, and his black eyelashes, which were slightly fluttering. She tried to lie to herself that she was watching him for her safety but deep down she would sacrifice a little bit of it to find out how scorching his fire was.

At dawn she fell asleep in the chair as she was watching her guest. He woke up and looked at Arlene. She was sleeping soundly. He noticed the balcony door, grabbed the blanket silently and tried to sneak around the sleeping silver dragon lady.

"Good morning, dragon,” she stood up and fixed her robe. He dropped the blanket and turned slowly.

"Will you try to kill me again?” he asked.

"I don't know. Will you? I could have left you there so some eager inquisitors would find you.”

"Very well. Thank you for crushing my arm and taking me to your lair, which is...” he paused and noticed the wall with a series of her portraits. Dozens of Arlenes of times past were smiling at him.

"You burned my village.”

"Well, I did. You have the whole valley. Now, if you excuse me, I have to fly home,” he headed to the balcony.

"You are not going anywhere until dark.”

He approached her and looked in her eyes. She didn't look away and waited. He didn't blink and didn't know what to say. He realized the risk of flying in daylight. Finally, Arlene ended the tensed silence.

"You are naked,” she said the obvious.

He noticed her beauty long ago. She knew it and smiled playfully. He leaned towards her, closed his eyes and kissed her. She didn't push him away; although she wasn't sure she wanted him to kiss her. A little voice in her head screamed that she wanted more. Besides that she hadn't seen any dragon for centuries and she hadn't meet anyone who would have make her stay up all night just to watch him sleep.

She kissed him back and let her robe fall down. She looked deeply in his eyes and saw the centuries. Even though he was a proud dragon, he was still a dragon. He embraced her and kissed her neck.

"You're silver,” he whispered softly and stroked her shiny breast with his fingertips.

"I know. Every time I get too happy,” she replied with a blush and let him touch her again.

He laid her gently on the bed and kissed her. A tiny shiver ran down his spine when she stroked his neck. And they flew under the black canopy.
